Step #01 – Launch Google Chrome with administrator privileges. It is important that you run Chrome web browser as administrator, otherwise your changes will revert back automatically.

Step #02 – Now Windows will prompt you to confirm if you really want to launch Google Chrome with administrator privileges to make changes to the computer. Simply click on “Yes” button to launch Google Chrome as administrator.
Step #03 – Click on the Menu icon (located in the upper right corner of the web browser) to open customization and control options for Chrome.
Step #04 – Click on Settings.
Step #05 – Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click on the text that says, “Show advanced settings…”. Doing so will reveal number of advanced settings.
Step #06 – Now, scroll down further until you find a section named, “Network”.
Under the “Network” section, there will be a “Change proxy settings…” button. Click on that button to open Internet Properties window.
Step #07 – In the “Internet Properties” window, go to a “Connections” tab.
Step #08 – Now in the “Local Area Network (LAN) settings” section, you will see a “LAN Settings” button. Click on the button to open Local Area Network settings window.
Step #09 – In the LAN settings window, you will find two sections and three checkboxes in total.
Under the Automatic configuration section there are two checkboxes, make sure that:
· “Automatically detect settings” checkbox is ticked,
· “Use automatic configuration script” checkbox is unticked.
Under the Proxy server section there is only one checkbox, make sure that:
· “Use a proxy server for your LAN” checkbox is unticked.
After making the above changes, make sure that your LAN settings window looks exactly as shown in the screenshot.
Step #10 – Once done, click on “OK” button to apply changes.
Step #11 – Now you can try to browse Internet to check if can’t connect to proxy server problem has been successfully resolved or not.
